Frequently Asked Questions

Should I get two kittens or just one?
+
We often recommend adopting two kittens, whether that’s two British Shorthairs or a combination of British Shorthair and Scottish Fold. Feline companionship is unique, and kittens benefit from having a companion to play, groom, and grow with. If you’re interested in a pair, please let us know on your application, we’re happy to help match compatible kittens from our program.
What makes your British Shorthair kittens special?
+
Golden shaded British Shorthair kittens are known for their rich golden coat, soft gradient shading, and dense plush texture. Combined with their round face, expressive eyes, and calm personality, they are one of the most rare and highly desirable British Shorthair color variations.
Are British Shorthair kittens good for first-time cat owners?
+
Yes, British Shorthair kittens are low-maintenance, calm, and independent, making them an excellent choice for first-time cat owners and busy households. They do shed, so we recommend regular brushing to maintain their plush coat. We also occasionally offer the British Longhair, a fluffier variation with a soft, luxurious coat.
Do you offer British Longhair kittens?
+
Yes, at Queens Scottish Fold LLC, we primarily offer British Shorthair kittens, but we do occasionally have British Longhair kittens available. These longhair kittens are more rare in our cattery due to our focused breeding program. If you are specifically looking for a British Longhair kitten for sale, we recommend joining our waitlist and letting us know your preference in advance. This helps us notify you when a longhair kitten becomes available.
Are your British Shorthair kittens well-socialized?
+
Yes, all of our British Shorthair kittens are raised in a home environment with daily interaction, including time with our children. This helps them become well-socialized, confident, affectionate, and adaptable when transitioning into their new homes.
